This buy it now auction is for 12 Stainless steel collars or washers for repair of old straight razors. These collars are meticulously made as replicas of the original Large dome steel collars made by Cutlers such as Wade & Butcher, Geo Johnson, James Johnson, W. Greaves etc., in Sheffield England circa 1810 -1850. These collars are stamped/punched from sheet metal just like the originals. They are the correct size: ~6.3mm (.24in) wide and 1.2mm (.04in) thick. They provide the finishing touch for that special antique straight razor made in Sheffield or even Solingen. The collars/washers will come unpolished as seen in the photos but will shine up nicely with little effort using Brasso or other polishing compounds. These collars are a must have for straight razor restoration enthusiasts. These washers will look similar to those shown in the photos. Included are 12 small stainless steel retaining under washers size #0 that provide the additional strength for the collars. Collars fit 1/16 inch round brass rod (six inches) and one piece will be included with your purchase. No handling fees are charged and free world wide shipping via letter mail.
