    Vintage 1940's dress clip pin is made of alternating stripes of black phenolic (bakelite) and rosewood. It is old store stock purchased from the basement storage of a New York City dress shop when the building was being demolished in the 1980's. There were several of these in various colors of bakelite. This is the last one we have. It has never been used. Slight oxidation to the clip (marked Made in USA) and a small amount of rust on one rivet, but it's still a beautiful old piece in very good condition. 2-3/8" long x 1-3/16' at the widest.
