This is a little-used
Puma "Inox Special"
straight razor
.
The razor has
an etched 11/16" wide
(.71" - .72")
blade
and ivory-colored celluloid scales that are inlaid on one side with the Puma trademark
.
The blade is etched, "
Puma Inox Special," along with fancy ornamentation.
The tang is marked, "
68, 5/8, Puma Inox, Eisgehärtet, Frozen Steel," on one side and "Made In Germany From Best Pumaster-Steel," on the reverse.
The blade
shows some evidence of hone wear. T
here are no nicks in the cutting edge, and it's free of any cracks.
The blade has a 2 3/4 inch cutting edge and seems to be the original full length. The blade is free of surface rust and pitting. The scales aren’t warped, and they aren't cracked
. The blade fits loosely between the scales.
The razor comes in the original Puma box.
