These notes were issued by the Colonial Bank and Trust Company in Waterbury, Ct. They were legal tender with a face value of one dollar each, but only for a specified length of time (until 2001). The set consisted of 13 (81/2" X 11") certificates, one for each of the original Colonies, each a different color, and each signed, numbered, and registered.
    Certificates are individually numbered.
Each is dyed in a color on the front. There are gold seals. The back has facts about each state like the population in 1776 and 1976, and the state bird.
They are stamped and signed by Elizabeth Seipold or the Westville Office branch in New Haven, CT
