1997 Boston Marathon Poster
This is the official lithograph for the 1997 Boston Marathon, signed by artist Andrew Yelenak. This is the limited edition version of poster, which features a gold-embossed Boston Athletic Association logo, only 500 copies were produced by the Art of Running International.
The lithograph is in excellent condition from smoke-free storage. It measures 18" x 25.5" (46 cm x 65 cm) and is printed on museum quality paper.
Shipped via USPS First Class, rolled in a tube.
The painting is an incredibly detailed montage of two scenes, the start of the very first Boston Marathon in 1897 and the finish of the 1997 Boston Marathon.
The artist, Andrew Yelenak, has painted over 35 race posters, including the Boston Marathon, the NYC Marathon, the Hartford Marathon, Grandma's Marathon and for the Distance Running Hall of Fame.
