Professional Formulation for Melasma and Hyperpigmentation
    Porcelain Skin Whitening Serum
is professionally formulated for melasma and hyperpigmentation. Our product is based on multiple effective ingredients that provide synergetic effects, exfoliate and penetrate skin more effectively than hydroquinone alone. The effective ingredients include hydroquinone (2%), kojic acid, glycolic acid,  vitamin C,   licorice root extract, and much much more... The unique combination of multiple ingredients has been clinically proven to effectively treat the symptoms of melasma.
Uneven pigmentation of some sort affects most people, regardless of ethnic background or skin color. Skin may either appear lighter or darker than normal; there may be blotchy, uneven areas, patches of brown to gray discoloration or freckling. Skin pigmentation disorders occur because the body produces either too much or too little melanin.   Increased melanin production, also known as hyperpigmentation, can be:
Melasma describes the darkening of the skin.
Chloasma describes skin discolorations caused by hormones. These hormonal changes are usually the result of pregnancy, birth control pills or estrogen replacement therapy.
Solar lentigo, also known as "liver spots" or "senile freckles" refers to darkened spots on the skin caused by aging and the sun. These spots are quite common in adults with a long history of unprotected sun exposure.
Aside from sun exposure and hormones, hyperpigmentation can be caused by skin damage, such as remnants of blemishes, wounds or rashes. This is especially true for those with darker skin tones.   The most typical cause of darkened areas of skin, brown spots or areas of discoloration is unprotected sun exposure.
Porcelain skin whitening serum is specially formulated to counteract the activity of tyrosinase.
The active skin lightening ingredients play an important role  to slow down melanin production, neutralize oxidative stress, and prevent darkening of the skin.  In addition, our skin whitening products are exfoliants, that induces mild skin peeling to help resurface a fresher and lighter skin layer.
    Use Instructions
Apply a thin layer of hydroquinone serum only over troubled area using your fingers and then wash your hands well. Use once a day at night.
During treatment, you may experience a light peeling on trouble areas. Peeling is considered as normal. It is the result of glycolic acid exfoliating the epidermis and brings newer, clearer skin to the surface. Mild redness is also expected as the normal skin renewing process, as the active ingredients are effectively penetrating into the deeper layers of the skin and targeting skin discoloration to its core. You will notice the dark spots begin to gradually fade as you skin begins to peel and the active ingredients penetrate your skin.
One bottle typically last about 1 month depending on size of brown spots. Second treatment is not necessary if you have reached desired results after one treatment. If you have not reached desired results after first treatment, allow a week of rest before initiating new treatment.
For your skin protection, avoid excessive sun exposure and always use sunscreen before and during sun exposure when using treatment. Do not perform any glycolic acid peels or strong skin treatments during the treatment.
For maximum results, always store serum with cap tightened and keep at room temperature. Avoid exposure to sun and dust. Hydroquinone is sensitive to air and contaminants.
The shelf life is 9 months when not opened under normal storage conditions. Once opened, product should be used within its maximum life span of 2 months.  Do not mix hydroquinone serum with other skin products, since hydroquinone is sensitive to contaminants. Doing so may shorten the shelf life of the product.
    Active Ingredients
    Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone has potent antioxidant abilities and is proven as the  primary topical ingredient for inhibiting melanin production. It disrupts the  synthesis and production of melanin hyperpigmentation, which are the substance  responsible for skin color. Compared with lasers or deep peel treatments,  topical hydroquinone is considered by many dermatologists to be a safer, less  expensive and similar effective (if not more so).
    Kojic acid
Kojic acid is a by-product in the fermentation process of malting rice for use in the manufacturing of sake, the Japanese rice wine. It has been proven by many researches that kojic acid is effective for inhibiting melanin production.
    Glycolic acid
Due to its excellent capability to penetrate skin, glycolic acid finds applications in skin care products. It is believed that its benefit is in helping cell turnover rates and removing unhealthy or abnormal layers of superficial skin cells (exfoliation) where hyperpigmented cells can accumulate.
    Licorice Root Extract
Licorice root extracts component substances lend themselves to products that focus on anti-aging, rosacea, pigmented, sensitive and acne prone skin. These substances include: Glabridin which is an incredible skin whitening agent, it is enormously helpful in decreasing melanin and re-balancing the dermal cells; Licochalcone has amazingly effective anti-acne properties that regulate oil production and eliminate bacteria on the skin; Stearyl glycyrrhetinate has immensely soothing anti-inflammatory properties, which are perfect for sensitive skin.
    Vitamin C
Vitamin C and its various forms are considered an effective antioxidant for the skin and help to lighten skin. Study found vitamin C raises glutathione levels in the body and is involved in the production of collagen. Vitamin C also plays a significant role in the healing of wounds, cuts and grazes.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    What is hyperpigmentation?
In dermatology, hyperpigmentation is the darkening of an area of skin or nails caused by increased melanin. Hyperpigmentation may be caused by sun damage, inflammation, or other skin injuries, including those related to acne vulgaris. Many forms of hyperpigmentation are caused by an excess production of melanin.
    What is melanin?
In humans, melanin is the primary determinant of skin color.
    What is melasma?
Melasma is a general term describing darkening of the skin.
    What is skin whitening?
Skin whitening, skin lightening and skin bleaching refer to the practice of using chemical substances in an attempt to lighten skin tone or provide an even skin complexion by lessening the concentration of melanin.
Who may use the skin whitening serum?
It may be appropriate for you if you are at least 18 years old and experiencing hyperpigmentation problems (uneven skin tone, age spots, freckles, dark underarms, melasma, dark acne scars, dark knees, elbows or inner thighs).
Who should NOT use the skin whitening serum?
Babies or children under 18 years old
    Pregnant women
Anyone who is allergic to hydroquinone
How does the skin whitening Serum Work?
Our skin whitening serum is specially formulated to counteract the activity of tyrosinase. The active skin lightening ingredients play an important role to achieve this, to slow down melanin production and prevent darkening of the skin.  In addition, our skin whitening products are exfoliants, that induces mild skin peeling to help resurface a fresher and lighter skin layer.
Will the skin whitening serum work for me?
Because each individual has his/her own unique skin sensitivity, you will also have your own result - either you see an improvement in 1-4 weeks, may need more time, or have little to no results. This is true generally for skin products.
How soon can I expect results from using the skin whitening serum?
Skin whitening is a gradual process. Results will vary per individual’s unique skin sensitivity. Some seen results in 3 days, others in 2-3 weeks. Some needed more time.  Generally speaking, the darker your skin pigmentation, the longer you have to stay on the whitening regimen and wait until visible lightening takes place.  Dedicate your time and patience. Results are determined by daily sun exposure and your skin type (darker skin needs a longer time frame).
Will my complexion whiten faster if I use the product more frequently than prescribed?
No. The products are designed in a way to optimally help your skin achieve the complexion you seek. Please follow usage instructions as mentioned on the product.
What happens if I completely stop using the skin whitening solution?
Permanent skin whitening, or more accurately, “long term effects”, can be achieved through maintenance. After you have achieved the desired results, continued product usage is not necessary. It is important to note that sunscreen plays a major part in skin lightening maintenance. Without sunscreen, skin whitening is futile.
