This is an antique Dübbers "569"
straight razor with an 11/16
inch wide (.67" - .69")
blade with a worked spine,
and black celluloid scales.
The tang is marked,
"
569,
Dübbers,"
on one side and "Finest Sheffield Steel, Forged and Real Hollow Ground in Germany," on the reverse.
The blade shows little evidence of hone wear. There are no nicks in the cutting edge and it's free of any cracks. The blade has a 2 3/4 inch cutting edge and seems to be the original full length. The blade is mostly free of
surface rust and pitting
. The scales aren't cracked but they are a little warped on one side. The blade fits loosely between the scales.
Insurance is required on all shipments and will be charged with a handling fee and included in the shipping quote.
