    Description

    Black scales look like some kind of then-modern plastic, maybe celluloid. Well marked on both sides of the blade. Mr. Dutcher was a very successful druggist and merchant in St. Albans VT around the turn of the 20th century. Blade is about 3 inches long and shows wear, staining, tarnish etc. Scales and handle are 5 3/4 inches long and in generally excellent shape.
