Benev Vitamin C products contain the stable non-aqueous form of Vitamin C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) that penetrates the outer layers of the skin. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant and a protective substance that neautralizes free radicals that result from exposure to UV radiation. Once penetration occurs in the epidermis (outer layer of the skin), Vitamin C reduces melanin to a colorless substance, inhibiting the formation of freckles, excessive darkening of the skin, and age spots. Vitamin C has a pronounced toning and firming effect on the skin also, making it ideal for use around the eyes (reduces puffiness) and other areas where aged skin is evident
