Bottecchia Professional Columbus SL Frameset 53x54cm C-C Black & Chrome.
53 c-c seat tube, 54 c-c top tube. Used. Good condition. 27.2 seat tube, Italian threaded BB and HS. Had a 130 rear hub on it but don’t know if that measured exactly.
Internal rear brake routing is fully lined, braze on front derailleur mount, recessed brake bolt type, chromed fork and rear stay though whole frame appears to be chromed underneath the chips in the matte black lacquer/paint.
There are big chips on the headstone, small ones scattered about. A few on the BB, but not too many blemishes considering I got it second hand from a pawn shop! Tried to represent scratches and blems in the pics. Chrome isn’t really rusty but also isn’t super shiny. Almost looks like a matte clear coat was put on all of it. No dents or dings and it rides straight with no hands.
Nice cutouts in the lugs. Rides very nice. But thinning my fleet and this and the Fuso must go.
Very much like what Giuseppe Saronni and Mario Beccia rode in the late 70s/Early 80’s though I think it was built in the 90’s based on decal reference to TdF and Worlds win in 1989.
