    Share certificate in favour of Charles Davidson Bell for £12 shares in Cape Commercial Bank dated 20th July 1854. Charles Bell, who has signed the certificate on both front and back became 2nd Assistant Surveyor- General of Cape Colony in July 1840 rising to Surveyor - General in 1848. Bell designed the famous Cape Triangular Stamp, issued 1st September 1853 and also the first Cape Rectangular postage stamp issued January 1864. He was also chairman of SANLAM 1865-1873.
