I LIKE IT THIS WAY as that IS the WAY IT SHOULD BE!LEATHER would have been behind the ears .. NOT HEAVY METAL!!! You HORSEY people understand that! GREAT FIND AND COLOR!

    Many on line for sale have this strap put behind the ear section ... It was hand assembled, so would be the makers decision I assume.
