The Dermamelan depigmentation program is intended to eliminate pigmented blemishes on the face. The mechanism of the action of the Dermamelan program is based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process. Several of the substances present in the Dermamelan formulation act by blocking this enzyme, or even by inverting the metabolic process of the transformation chain.
The Dermamelan depigmentation program begins with the treatment of Dermamelan Mask cream. The mask will be visible on the face as it is the basis of the Dermamelan program.
The mask must remain on the face for 10-12 hours. The activation time will range 5 to 12 hours.
The Dermamelan depigmentation program involves a strict home regime that must be followed. The program cannot be interrupted under any circumstances during the time prescribed.
It is not recommended that the Dermamelan treatment be used while going through any other treatments or any other depigmentation treatments. This would include peel treatments of any kind. Failure to comply may result in the appearance of undesirable results.
During the first two days of treatment, and in the case of especially sensitive skin, the skin may turn reddish. In addition, a sensation of heat and tightness of the face can be observed. This is perfectly normal and must not lead to any modification of the home care guidelines.
Follow up treatments would be on day 21 and day 42.
Dermamelan: Pre and Post Treatment Instructions
Pre Treatment
It is important that you be well hydrated prior to yourtreatment.
Avoid constant sun exposure and sun beds for at least 2 weeks prior totreatment and wear sun block.
Post Treatment
The Dermamelan® de-pigmentation treatment initiated must becontinued at home on a daily basis, according to the guidelines indicated. Itis completely forbidden to combine the Dermamelan® treatment with othertreatments, as the appearance of undesired effects cannot be guaranteed.
The time required for the mask to act completely depends onthe type of skin and is estimated by:
Photo type I and II: 8 Hours
Photo type III and IV: 10 Hours
Photo type V and VI: 12 Hours
Once the mask has been acting for the required period of time, wash the area with a gentle cleanser and water to completely remove the mask. The de-pigmentation treatment is then followed by treatment with Dermamelan® Treatment cream. This guarantees the permanence of the initialde-pigmenting treatment, favoring the disappearance of blemishes of melanicorigin. It also regulates sebaceous secretion and is specially indicated for treating mixed and oily skins.
Apply Dermamelan® Treatment cream to the area of skin that was treated, three times a day during the first month.
Apply Dermamelan® Treatment cream to the area of skin that was treated, two times a day during the second month.
Apply Dermamelan® Treatment cream to the area of skin that was treated once per day during the third month.
Apply Dermamelan® Treatment cream to the area of skin that was treated twice per week therafter.
15 minutes after each application of Dermamelan® Treatmentcream the patient is recommended to apply Mesoestetic® Hydra Vital Factor K cream on top of the Dermamelan® Treatment cream. An additional sunscreen is also highly recommended to be used everyday for added protection.
During the first two days the skin may become red, itchy and sensitive. To relieve the problem, it is advisable to re-apply Hydra VitalFactor K cream whenever necessary.
During the second and third day, flaking may occur. It is advisable to re-apply Hydra Vital Factor K cream. It is crucial that the patient refrain from physically peeling off any loose skin, as this may cause a scar.
After the third or fourth day, the skin appears healthy and luminous and the marks begin to fade. All these characteristics are part of the exfoliation process and may sometimes be uncomfortable; however, they are all symptoms of a good prognosis.
It is also recommended to increase the daily intake of water to 1.5L per day. Patient compliance is crucial for optimum results.

Its main effect is the weakness and / or disappearance of dark spots which arose on the skin due to disturbances in the production of melanin, locatedmainly on the face or other body parts that are exposed to the sun. This treatment increases the tonicity and luminosity of the skin, which contributes to its beautification.
During the treatment, it is essential to use efficient and constant sun protection. It is recommended to use cosmetics from the range of MesoesteticSun Protection such as Moisturising Sun Protection SPF50+ or Dermatological SunProtection SPF50+. Lack of sun protection reduces the effectiveness of the treatment.
Precautions for Use
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of accidental contact -wash generously with water.
Its use is not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.
In case of reddening of the skin - apply Hydra-Vital Factor K cream by Mesosestetic. It is not recommended to use with another product, besides of the one mentioned above in order to avoid unpleasant and unforeseen effects.
Its use is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding periods.
