Vintage 11/16 Edlis Barber Supply Co. Straight Razor & Coffin Box - Faux Frameback, Square point
Razors and other barber goods were sold in the US by the Edlis Co. of Pittsburgh from the turn of the century.  The "Jewel 1929" was forged in the 1920s in Germany.
This  razor
is in excellent condition
consistent with its age and use and as pictured.  The blade was sanded, buffed and polished to a reflective satin finish.  The original scales were ultrasonically cleaned and polished.
It has been re-pinned with silver rods and washers.  The original Jewel 1929 Coffin Box is in good condition.
It has been honed on a progression of Naniwas and finished on an Ozuku Asagi Jnat.  Finally, stropped on a vintage D.R. Wagner Seal Skin strop.
Razor will be oiled for delivery.
