    Description
    The metal backing of this Bakelite (guaranteed) brooch is seen on WWII era unsigned Miriam Haskell jewelry. Its design is also typical of jewelry produced during this period, when Bakelite was in use. Please refer to "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" (Gordon & Pamfilloff), pg. 74, or author Cathy Gordon's online Image Event "Haskell - Unsigned Clips and Pins" album.
    This burnt caramel bar pin is 2" across and 15/16" high. With its dangles, it is 2 3/4" high. The brooch's (likely) gold tone elements have turned the color of patinated brass, and the metal backing has darkened.
