    Description

    This is a VINTAGE HAND-PAINTED CELLULOID BIRD BROOCH that probably dates from the turn of the century. The eye is a tiny green rhinestone and the body has a blue faceted plastic faux rhinestone. The celluloid is pearly white and hand-painted in shades of blue and green. There is a plastic C-clasp on the back. The brooch measures 2 3/4”H x 1 3/4”W and is in excellent condition for its age - no cracks or obvious paint wear. This is a treasure for the early plastic jewelry collector.
