Very nice restored
THE HERO RAZOR
straight razor. Razor has been dis-assembled, cleaned, polished, honed and waxed and is shave ready. Blade is clean and nice with some spots on both sides of blade, mainly near tip close to spine on both sides. See pics for more details. Moderate hone wear.
Blade width measures at 5/8ths.
Razor length is 6 inches.
Blade grind is approximately a 1/2 hollow.
Jimps on bottom of shank.
Front side of shank is stamped - THE HERO RAZOR - WARRANTED. Front of blade is etched - EXTRA HOLLOW GROUND - FULLY WARRANTED.Back side of shank is stamped - MADE IN GERMANY.
Scales are faux bamboo cellluloid. They have been cleaned, polished and waxed. Overall in very nice condition, with a bit of warping. Pins are tight and blade closes on center.
A fine capable shaver.  Blade has been honed and finished on a vintage Thuringian hone.
