    Additional comments:
This is a beautiful hand-forged Ludo Red Imp Wedge, made by Ludo Shear & Razor Works in Solingen, Germany. The razor was hammered during the forging process, leaving a handsome and rugged pattern on the tang and the tail . The Ludo Red Imp wedges are fairly rare, so this is a great opportunity to add one of the more elusive Red Imp razors to your collection. The original scales were lost to time, so I made a set of custom scales in the same style as the originals. I used transparent red Lucite, a white wedge, along with silver studs and pins. This is a really beautiful example of the Ludo Red Imp wedge and the shave is truly fantastic. Bidding starts at .95. Good luck!
All of my razors go through a thorough honing and stropping session. Once completed, I test shave with the razor and disinfect the razor in Barbicide, so it is 100% safe, sterile, and shave ready. It will ship with a thin coating of mineral oil to protect the blade from rust and corrosion during shipping. Please remove the mineral oil from the razor before shaving with the razor, and make sure to carefully guide the razor back into the scales when closing the razor.
    Hello,
A straight razor is a living thing, it's not just a cold piece of steel in one's hand, hence the name
    "The Living Edge".
It is an extension of a man's personality and vigor, and is a highly personal item, often passed down from father to son in days gone by. I take meticulous care in restoring vintage and antique straight razors. It's a labor of love, it brings me joy and a real sense of accomplishment when I can transform an old and forgotten piece of history back into a useful and handsome shaving tool.
I do all of my work by hand and I do not take shortcuts. I put every single ounce of skill and care that I can muster into restoring vintage and antique razors. I use the finest materials available so that my razors last, as well as look good. I want them to withstand and pass the test of time, fit to be handed down from one generation to the next.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me and I'll answer them as best I can. Remember, most of the razors I work on are very old, sometimes there might be a little pitting, some blemishes, or age spots left over from restoration. This is perfectly normal, and personally, I find a little patina gives a razor character, and does not impinge on the razor's ability to give a great shave!
Look at the photos carefully before you bid, they are the best representation of the product you are buying!
I use stones in my photos, acrylic stands, and other props to complement my razors. These props are not for sale, nor do they come with the razor you are purchasing. You are bidding on the razor, and only the razor, thank you for your understanding.

I do my best to drop packages off the same day, or the next business day after payment is received. Sometimes it takes a little while for the tracking information to update in the USPS system. If the package misses a local scan, it won't update until
