Vintage Butterscotch Bakelite Carved Face Brooch ~Animal, Cat or Stylized Ethnic Figure
A vintage brooch made of carved butterscotch Bakelite in a design that looks like a stylized animal face, maybe a cat.
Could also be an ethnic figure.
Measures 1 1/2" across at the widest and 2 3/4" high.
Has round carved eyes, an exaggerated long nose or snout and an indented mouth.  Has pointy ears.
Very well crafted, rollover clasp holds securely.
Fine condition, warm color.  Has a few small nicks on the back edge and one between the ears which may be original.
Interesting design.
